Welcome and thank each of you who joined us from coast to coast with love, and excitement to hear the Word of God.

Today highlights the opening service of our National Women's Conference where the women, in particular, come with great anticipation spiritually and look forward to a week of fellowship with each other. This brochure outlines the details for the week, and we certainly hope that you join us at the Desmond Hotel and Conference Center where we have amazing activities each day and evening.

Today, our Pastor, Bishop Omega, is sure to enlighten, engage, and encourage you to go deeper in your understanding of Biblical experiences that are relevant to today's walk of faith. Monday, March 9, 2020 – "A Day of Reflection"

AM: Reflection – Congressman G.K. Butterfield Jr. is an American elected official serving as an U.S. Representative from the state of North Carolina. He is also a longtime advocate of civil rights and member of the Congressional Black Caucus. Congressman Butterfield has also enjoyed a long-lasting relationship with the Wilson, NC Whole Truth Restaurant. He will have the audience reflect on our individual role in the political process, discuss the importance of considering the platform of the candidates,  and the impact of our choices on the economy, race relations, gun violence, climate control, immigration regulations, and so much more, which are front and center in the upcoming election year.

"The Voting Game"
Following the Congressman's presentation, we will engage in an activity called The Voting Game. The participants will explore the benefits of a fact-base voting decision vs. a straight-ticket or emotional voting decision, and how each decision type can impact the selection of a candidate. Exciting prizes will be disbursed throughout the morning and early afternoon!

PM: Rediscovering an Historic Treasure – A fantastic movie and discussion awaits the second part of this day. The movie will begin after a brief and uncanny tribute by a local historian regarding the relevance of Chester County Pennsylvania (where the host hotel is located) to a very important time in American history. The historian will share how locations within the county are linked to events in the movie. This is a movie you do not want to miss!  It is bound to leave the audience reflecting on a significant era in time and attendees will be in awe by the power of determination.
